Had the burris scope. My matrix 380 had so much recoil it caused the mounting screws on scope to loosen. Ultimately the front screw stripped out. I bought the garmin x1i and just now got it sighted in. The setup on the garmin is tremendously easier. The mounting system is rock solid. The fit, finish ect is much better. Yes the price is 2x but the quality is 10x.. I have other products from garmin and I've always been impressed with the quality and durability. When the mount was tight on the burris, mine functioned flawlessly. When I returned the scope to burris for repair I mentioned that two small mounting screws an inch apart in the center of that long scope is not adequate and they didn't dispute what I said... I'm like you obviously, I'm not going back to a conventional scope and rangefinder...

I have a Tenpoint Viper S400 and I bought it for 1 reason, so I could uncock it after hunting. I hunt A Lot and shooting it at lunch and shooting it at dark suck !! I've broke so many decocking bolts shooting it at dark into a rock buried under the grass and it's wear and tear on your strings and cables. I love it!! I can pull and cock any crossbow I just want to uncock it safely.

Those thin blue line grips are awesome and show respect for the men and women who protect us..oh by the way did I mention how sweet that Ravin is..I shoot Xpedition crossbows but that Ravin is really nice..

I have seen a lot of the raven owners do stock extensions and custom cheek rests. I have also seen relocation kits for the crank.

That R29 looks like it's straight out of RoboCop.

Your mention of the climber… you need to use straps or a rope to lock the top to the bottom. The video you shared going up and down with the climber there was a lot of a pitch upwards. You need to level that out more and attach with strap or I use paracord… so when you stand, it pulls down on the front of the top section. It will go no where. It really locks in. Just fyi

Rich my man I was losing my mind when I saw that R29X in that color pattern because I also almost pulled the trigger on that special. It’s long gone and no longer available now so there’s that. I’m a compound bow hunter, went from pulling 70lbs then down to 50lbs and now I’m having both shoulders opened up and I’m full on crossbowing. I currently shoot a Barnett whitetail Hunter STR and I love that thing. Very lethal but even pulling that Barnett is making the shoulders angry these days. After your rant against cranks literally the day before you showed us your new toy I was telling the wife Rich probably still has good shoulders is all! He’s old, he’ll change his tune! But in all seriousness, my wants for my next big purchase was between a Mission Sub1XR and a Ravin R29X. But after seeing the different cranks on both it’s the Ravin for me. A Ravin R29X with a sexy Burris Oracle X so I can finally put the range finder away is all this banged up midwesterner man could ask and dream for. Something tells me the god father of Xbows will be putting that combo together and I cannot wait to follow! Cheers bud!
